Remote learning days will happen on days that the school would have typically had to close, voting, snow days and so on. Knowing that I have some remote learning days scheduled I an hoping to improve my skills in the remote teaching environment.

My biggest goal for this course is to connect with other teachers who are in similar positions.   • How do you predict this course might be valuable to you?     I am hoping that this course will help to expand my repertoire of programs/tools to enhance my teaching.  Students become easily satiated when teachers use the same approaches in class after class.  Since I am HS, I saw this often with Edpuzzles this year.  It was an easy program to learn and many teachers used it to deliver lessons.    I would like to be able to include more strategies in my own instruction as well as share with my colleagues.   
  •  What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?    In addition to adding to my repertoire,  I would like to take the lead in promoting a digital integration in my school building, particularly with special education students.  I saw a great deal of benefit in using learning platforms to eliminate paperwork, share resources and enhance executive functioning.

  • How do you predict this course might be valuable to you?  I hope to learn from other educators' experience of remote teaching and what worked/didn't work for them and their students. I especially want to learn methods of engaging learners who were difficult to reach during remote learning, as well as organizing a schedule for remote learning such as presenting a lesson and then allowing time to meet individually with students.
  • What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course? There are so many apps and options for using online that it could easily become overwhelming. I'm hoping to organize a toolbox of strategies so as not to use a tool just to use it, but to use it with purpose, while at the same time attempting to not make the lessons boring for students but to engage.
