         <description><![CDATA[<div>The countdown clock displayed for students can be used with clear expectations that their activity needs to be cleaned up properly before the dynamite ignites. The visual timer as well as the shrinking length of the wick allows students to take responsibility over their own things and encourages them to use time management wisely.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Allowing students to put together a vision board of the future they want for themselves gives them more accountability for what they'll do to achieve their goals. Additionally, I can get a better insight into what students are interested in and how to help motivate them more effectively. </div>]]></description>

But as the school year goes on, I can use name tags to remind students on which reading component they need to focus on during reading time. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Giving students time to think about a topic before engaging in instruction helps students a foundation to build their learning upon. The "what I know" column can open a discussion. Through discussion I gain better understanding of what students already know, and information for me to connect my lesson to. The 'what I wonder' column encourages children to focus on specific aspects of the topic that further engages them in learning. Finally, returning to state new information helps solidify the lesson. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are many benefits of Kahoot! to instructional practices. First, Kahoot! is more engaging for students. Second, I can easily assess how well my students have learned the content. Finally, the students receive immediate feedback from the game  instead of having to wait for graded paperwork. </div>]]></description>

Through this form I can learn parent contact preference, necessary health information, and emergency contacts easily and discreetly. </div>]]></description>

This activity can give students a mixture of both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, from either finding something to share with the class, or the thanks from classmates for presenting a book to the class. </div>]]></description>
