My stand on the issue of corruption that is rampant in our country is that it is one of the greatest obstacles to our progress. Corruption continues because of a lack of political education and close-minded thinking during elections. Many voters still choose leaders based on family names, popularity, or temporary benefits instead of focusing on true qualifications and track records. This keeps political dynasties and corrupt officials in power, which reflects the negative side of democracy, people have the freedom to vote, but some use it without being fully aware of its consequences. However, the positive side of democracy is that it still gives us the opportunity to change. We have the right to speak out, to become politically educated, and to choose better leaders in the future. For me, democracy is good for the Philippines, but it will only truly work if citizens are responsible, open-minded, and aware of the power of their vote.

For me ma'am, corruption is one of the most serious problems that our country faces today, and it strongly affects how we view democracy. On the negative side, corruption shows us how democracy can be abused. Some leaders, instead of serving the people, use their position for personal interest. Because of this, trust in the government decreases, public funds are misused, and progress in our nation becomes very slow. It also makes ordinary citizens feel discouraged, as if their voices and votes do not matter anymore. But on the positive side, democracy still gives us hope. The beauty of democracy is that it gives power to the people. We have the freedom to speak out, to expose wrongdoings, and to demand accountability from those in power. Unlike in other systems of government, citizens in a democracy have the right to protest, to voice their opinions, and to call for change. We also have the chance to choose new leaders through elections, and that shows the strength of democracy despite corruption. So, for me, corruption reflects both sides of democracy. It reveals its weakness when leaders abuse their power, but it also highlights its strength because, in the end, the people still have the voice to make a change. Democracy will only work if we use our rights and freedoms responsibly. If citizens are aware, united, and committed to choosing the right leaders, then corruption can be lessened, and democracy can truly serve its purpose. THAT'S ALL PO MAEM :)

corruption become bolder this time whereas people become more courageous on standing and fighting for what is right. the positive side of the democracy is how we become responsible in our votes or choices on choosing leaders especially with the help of media we easily access on information that help us while the negative side is how some people are blinded and choosing their favorite actors or candidates who has less credentials because its famous some people disagree about on what's happening recently which is rally because some of them are not literate on what's happening recently

The corruption in our country is very rampant and worse because the politicians are the ones who corrupt the money; they're just manipulating the money and project. There are a lot of ghost projects in flood control. Just like in Las Pinas, there's an almost billion-peso project for flood control here in Las Pinas; however, the contractor here is a niece of Villar. They took the budget and invested it in their business. That's how corrupt their family is. Many people suffer because of their greed, and there are a lot of people like Villar who corrupt our taxes, and they always ask for loans from other countries for our country. However, the leaders themselves are corrupt; they just. Keep the loan and put it in their pocket. The senators manipulate the people about our taxes. There are a lot of ghost projects in our country, just like what Discaya did. Even the senators are involved in that corruption. The leaders are not sincere for the Filipino people; they all have common interests, and they're all corrupt.

Money meant for schools, hospitals, and jobs is found in the pockets of egocentric leaders. it therefore exposes the dark side of democracy, wherein some citizens abuse the powers granted to them. However, it is also a light unto the true spirit of democracystanding up, protesting, and voting for good leaders. Corruptionfor me, is not merely taking nonee,, it is an act of stealing the future of the people.

The positive side of the democracy is that we us a Filipinos citizen have rights to vote and to choose our leader. The negative side of it is that many of us Filipinos are not politically active and doesn't care towards this topic, they also make the same mistake that's why we have to borrow money from the other countries just to make our country better and the taxes will go to their pockets.

These malpractices showcase negatively the democratic culture because some leaders abuse their freedom and powers given by the people. However, the democracy factor gives us the other side-point, where the citizen speaks up, demands accountability, and elects better leaders. In the end, it is actually democracy that is empowering us to fight corruption where responsibility from leaders as well as the citizens toward practicing it really matters. Wake up!! this issue is not just about stolen money its about stolen dreams, future and lives.

My stand on corruption is that, it is one of the biggest problems in our country because it destroys people’s trust in the government, steals resources meant for the poor, and slows down our nation’s progress. Corruption reflects the negative side of democracy because it shows how some leaders and officials abuse the power that the people have given them. Instead of serving the public, they use their position for personal gain, which leads to inequality and injustice. However, democracy also has a positive side because it gives citizens the right to speak out against corruption, expose wrongdoings, and demand accountability from leaders. Through free speech, free press, and elections, the people can push for change and fight for honest governance. This means that while corruption is a serious issue, democracy gives us the tools to correct it and build a better future.

My stand is that corruption in the Philippines is worsened by the existence of political dynasties. When power stays within one family, it often leads to abuse of authority, lack of accountability, and unequal opportunities for others to lead. This reflects the negative side of democracy, where instead of giving people fair choices, political power becomes concentrated in the hands of a few. However, the positive side of democracy is that citizens still have the right to vote and the freedom to oppose dynasties by choosing leaders based on merit, not family ties. And that reminds us that democracy will only work if people use their voice responsibly and demand transparency and fairness in governance.

corruption is one of the biggest problem in the Philippines. It weakens our economy, steals resources meant for the people and destroys the trust of citizens in government. I believe that corruption should not be tolerated because it denies Filipinos the basic services and opportunity they deserve. The positive side of democracy, people have the freedom to expose the corruption through media, protest and whistle blowers. and the negative of the democracy allows free election, vote buying and political dynasties can still thrive, letting corruption continue. Corrupt officials sometimes use the democracy to cover and pretending to be for the people while serving their personal interest. Corruption is not a failure of democracy itself, but failure of the leaders and citizen to protect it. Democracy gives us the tools to fight corruption but it also gives us the responsibility to choose leaders wisely,

— My stand on corruption is that it remains one of the biggest problems in the Philippines because it destroys trust in government and prevents development. Corruption shows the negative side of democracy because even though people have the power to vote, some leaders still abuse their authority for personal gain. It makes democracy look weak when those in power put self-interest above the needs of the people. However, the positive side of democracy is that we still have freedom of speech and the right to choose our leaders. These rights give citizens the chance to demand accountability and push for change. In the end, corruption may expose the flaws in our democracy, but it also challenges us to use our democratic power more responsibly to elect honest and transparent leaders.

For me, corruption is one of the saddest realities in our country. Every time I hear news about money being stolen or leaders abusing their power, I can't help but feel frustated. That money could have gone to schools, hospitals, or projects that would help ordinary Filipinos live better lives. Instead, it ends up in the hands of the corrupt officials. But looking out, I realize it shows both its strength and weaknesses. On the positive side, atleast in democracy, people can speak out. We have the freedom to question our leaders, to protest, and to demand accountability. We see activists, journalists, and even ordinary citizens using their voices to expose the truth and that's something powerful. On the negative side, corruption reflects how fragile our democracy can be. Even if we have the right to vote, there are still leaders who win through money, influence, or manipulation. It makes me see that having democracy is not enough; it needs active and responsible citizens to make it work.

Corruption will always exist if people stay silent. Democracy gives us the space to fight it, but it's up to us if we'll use that space or let it be wasted.

My opinion on corruption in our country is that it is both infuriating and saddening, because of the huge amount of money stolen from us. That’s why, even if you work hard in the Philippines, you will never become wealthy because of the people in power. No matter how much effort you put in, you still won’t prosper. Sometimes, the taxes we pay are so high, but in the end, it is only the corrupt government officials who benefit from them. Even votes are bought nowadays. It’s good that we have the freedom to choose who truly deserves to be in government, but we are also at fault, because if we didn’t vote for them, corruption wouldn’t exist. So think wisely before you vote, because this has a huge effect on the future.

It is truly devastating to know that some government officials are engage in unethical practices of taking the funds of the taxpayers and redirecting them for their personal gain, rather than deploying them for the nation's benefit. This misconduct undermines the very foundation of the public trust and the government. Moreover, it is particularly upsetting to know that even when voters are aware of such an rampant corruption, many still cast their ballots for these officials. This troubling trend often stem from the influence of financial incentives and promises made during the campaigns creating a cycle where integrity is compromised for short-term gains. the ramification of such choices extend beyond individual elections, affecting the overall health of our democratic processes and the pursuit of meaningful progress for society as a whole.

Here's my take on the issue that our country currently faces, corruption remains one of the greatest obstacles to progress in our country. It weakens the trust of people to the government and deprives citizens of basic services that they deserve and rightfully be theirs. Corruption reflects the negative side of democracy because even the people have the power to vote, some people still vote for leaders who did nothing and have past issues in leading. Also some of the leaders don't truly show their true colors in public, they do that for personal gain that they want. Those corrupt leaders abuse the power that was given to them by the people who give their vote and trust. However, it also shows the positive side of democracy because people are still able to voice out what they want and expose the wrongdoing and demand accountability to those in power. Democracy gives freedom in correcting the flaws that we see in our government but it requires a unity of citizens and leaders to truly work.

Nowadays, we can see that corruption has been spreading rapidly in our country, and many corrupt practices that politicians do are being visible to the eyes of many. Yet, some filipinos still believe and defend other politicians that are being exposed because of the wrongdoings they do behind our backs. I sometimes believe that lack of education here in our country is the very reason why corruption are still alive and make every life of the countrymen miserable. If all filipinos knows how to stick to what is right, maybe our country are free from the toxic people that are sitting in the government right now. It is so sad to see how every filipinos hard earned moneys are being used by the corrupt people for themselves. They are being able to buy any luxuries that they wish to have and then our countrymen are overworking themselves just to provide food for their family on their daily life. We, filipinos, are still practicing democracy to fight for what is right and for the justice that we need. Having a democratic country may be a privilege for us to have a freedom on things that we wanted to choose, but practicing it may also be a little hard since corrupt people in the government are preventing us to do so. Let’s just say that we do have a right to speak up or let our voices be heard but along with it is the government that doesn’t want to hear any of the things that we scream because of how awful their principles are. So even if, democracy is still applicable here, it will only happen if all filipinos supports the filipinos itself and it’s country.

As a student, I’ve always been told that democracy means having a voice. But how can I speak when the same last names appear on every ballot — every election, every city, every province? Political dynasties have turned democracy into a family business. They pass power like inheritance, not through merit, but through bloodlines. And with that power often comes corruption, misuse of funds, fake promises, and leaders who serve themselves more than the people. I see it in my own community roads left unfinished, scholarships given only to the “anak ng kakilala,” and leaders who treat public service like a private empire. But still, I believe in the beauty of democracy. The fact that I can write this, speak out, and vote that gives me hope. I see more young Filipinos waking up, asking questions, running for office, and demanding better. Corruption and dynasties show the dark side of democracy but they also challenge us to protect the light. Real change starts when we stop treating elections like tradition and start choosing leaders with integrity, not just a famous last name.

Corruption is one of the most problem here in our society. The poor suffer the most because they rely heavily on public services, and when those services are compromised, their opportunities for a better life shrink. This cn weaken democracy, justice, and the rule of law, corruption worsens inequality. The effects of corruption go for beyond individuals losses. It slows economic growth because resources meant for the development like funds for education, health but they just stolen our money, they are using it like it their own. Democracy is supposed to give power to the people, make sure everyone's voice is heard, and create fair opportunities for all. Leaders may focus more on personal gain than serving citizens, and decisions may benefit a few rather than the majority. This makes people lose trust in government, elections, and even in the democratic system itself. Fighting corruption is essential to protect the rights of citizens, ensure justice, and make democracy meaningful.

From the moment that I became aware of the politics, all the information I gained– corruption is exclusively what we know that makes us suffer the most. For me, it is an epidemic in our country or even in other countries; Nepal and Indonesia. Why? Corruption is like a disease that weakens a country from within because it takes money that should be for schools, hospitals, roads, especially for flood controls but puts it into the pockets of a people in few in the government and even contractors and engineers. This leaves citizens with fewer resources and opportunities. it also damages trust in the government and institutions, making it harder to enforce laws and keep order. When corruption continues spreads widely, it possibly can discourage investment, slow down economic growth, and keep inequality going. If this kind of issue won't stop and attain justice, the cycle of poverty and instability also won't stop. That's why the country's democracy can lose its meaning and weaken the rule of law, if those corrupt officials will not hold accountability for what they have done. This can cause a drop in citizen participation, as people become disappointed with the system. Sooner or later, corruption ruin democracy and can creates a system where power and wealth are concentrated in the hands of a few, rather than serving the interests of all citizens.

My stand against the issue in our country in that those people who continue to manipulate and use the power to save themselves and shamelessly using taxes should be put in jail. They should also suffer like how poor people suffer. They should be fired, shamed and imprisoned. They deserve no mercy because of their greed for power and people's money that they have no hesitation in stealing. Cruel as it may be, but for me their entire family should be ashamed. Why? Because if their children or spouses stand up for what they did, they will be the ones who will insist on stopping their parents and spouses from the atrocities they are doing. Second, government officials who also have other families with them in the government should be fired. Political dynasty should be strictly prohibited because it is also a form of corruption. A government official who does this should be punished. Enact a law where if this is done, severe punishment should be given and they should not just be imprisoned or fired. Meanwhile, corruptions represent an abuse of power that undermines the principles of democracy. However, the way a democratic system responds to corruption can also highlight its unique strengths. Essentially, corruption is a negative force that reveals the positive capabilities of a healthy democracy. For example, A free press exposes wrongdoing, a system of checks and balances provides oversight, and citizens can ultimately vote out corrupt officials.

Corruption is a serious problem in our country and it undermines the true spirit of democracy. While democracy gives people the power to choose their leaders, corruption often leads to abuse of power and prevents fair distribution of resources. The positive side of democracy is that citizens have the freedom to speak out and demand accountability from public officials. However, the negative side is that corrupt politicians can exploit the system for their personal gain, making it hard for ordinary people to trust the government. Therefore, addressing corruption is important to strengthen our democracy and make it truly work for everyone.
