Love how it turned out. I started by throwing a wider bowl. I added the eye on the inside, and then eyes symmetrically on the outside. I then added big teeth on the rim between each eye, and small teeth on the rim above each eye.

Then, I glazed it! I chose high gloss black as my base, and I wanted to try out bubble glazing. My friends recommend cherry red for the bubbles, so thats what I did. Love how the glaze turned out! It also won best of the fire, which im still shocked about. It was a huge goal of mine to win best of fire, and I cant believe I actually achieved it!

Overall, this is my favorite piece I have made so far, and I think this is the one bowl im gonna keep :]

I threw a smaller more ramen bowl looking shape. I then carved little divots into it, where I stuck clay ovals to look like seeds.

I then glazed it cherry red, wiped the seeds, and covered the seeds in iron oxide.

Overall, love this bowl! Im gonna sell it, so I hope someone likes it as much as I do :]

To make it, I threw a v shaped bowl, and then used my fingers to curve parallel pieces of the wall inwards to hold chopstick. It ended up a bit smaller then I wanted.

Used Blue Hydrangea specialty glaze on the outside, and Blue Oyster specialty glaze on the inside :]

Happy how this turned out! Im excited to eat noodles out of it :DD

To start, I threw a regular bowl, I just made it more round, and had it curve more inward towards the top. Then I used balls and strips of clay to make the eyes. I shaved some clay and added strips of clay around the trimmed down area. I then added fins to the back middle, and the sides. I made a bunch of spikes and slip and scored them, trying to keep them even with each other, and in a pattern.

For the glazed, I sprayed a base of Jeannes Purple. I then brushed on 3x coats of the specialty glaze Sandstone. After I let that dry, I brushed a little bit of dark flux over the spike and edges of the fins. I finally added some high fire brush on glazes to the mouth and eyes. Black foe the pupils and the mouth, teal for the rest of the eyes. Love how the glazed turned out, and im hoping to sell this piece :DD

I started with throwing a regular curved bowl. I then added the tongue. I made the tongue using a slab of clay, which I pinched towards the top, and added a curve. I then added and blended two small strips of clay towards the middle of the tongue, to represent it bending. To add texture, I wet the tongue and the paintbrush, and dabbed it with the paintbrush. I then made a bunch of teeth, added them, and used a eyeball tool to make the gums.

For glaze, I used Turkish Amber and Warm Jade, a killer combo. Sadly, the bisque fix didn't work, and the cracks on the side of the gums and tongue became worse. However, I still love how it and the glaze job turned out! This bowl is probably my second or third favorite I have made :]

Threw a regular bowl with no other detail, but I wanted to get creative with glaze.

I did High Gloss Black as the Base. I then added bubble glaze all over in Jeannes Purple, Old Forge Nuditea, and Lemon.

The glaze turned out nothing like I planed. No yellow or pink showed up, and no bubble glazed showed on the sides. However, the new purple and green color gives witchy vibes, which I love! I am planning to sell this bowl :]

Threw a regular bowl that didn't curve in as much as my others. I then coated the whole bowl in blue slip, as well as made a small duck that a coated in yellow, orange, and black slip. I slip and scored the duck into the center of the bowl.

One it dried, I carved vertical lines going into the center of the bowl. I then carved horizontal lines all across. Unfortunately, my duck fell off, but I planned to reattach him during the glazing process.

For glaze, I just used clear glaze, pooling more towards the bottom to attach the duck back.

I love how it turned out! The extra clear glaze pooled at the bottom made it look like there was some water in the pool, and I love the effect! Overall, its not my favorite bowl, but its pretty cool! Hope someone else wants to buy and it makes them happy :]

First, I threw a regular bowl that was taller and curved inwards. I was going to keep it like this, but I ended up having extra time and decided to add a rose in the middle since I wanted more practice sculpting flowers. I did this by making a base, adding a flat tall spiral to that base, and then adding flat petals to the spiral. During the bisque, the base of the rose cracked a bit, but nothing that went through.

For glaze, I really wanted to try reduction for the first time. I did a base of panama red reduction, and then dipped the lip in robin's egg. Im super glad it did this, and I loved how the robin's egg ran, creating a melting effect.

Overall, while this bowl was a combination of last minute ideas, I love how it turned out! Im planning to do this glaze combo again as soon as I can.
