The MCU started in 2008 When Kevin Feige (President of Marvel Studios) started the first MCU film called Iron man which changed the perspective on superhero movies with Robert Downey JR’s amazing performance as rich billionaire play boy, Tony Stark. 
Since then the MCU has produced 17 films in the last 10 years and they have reached box office levels. To date, the MCU is still growing with its third Avengers film to debut May 2018, Marvel Studios has done something that has not been done in cinema before.
The MCU has films such as The Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Captain America and The Avengers. All these films take place in the same universe and its always exciting to see Easter eggs and references to different films in the shared universe.
On 31st December 2009, The Walt Disney Company bought out Marvel Studios for $4 billion. Disney then funded the Movies in the MCU from there and on and Disney yet again made a great and profitable purchase just like they did with Lucas Films and Pixar.
When Marvel Studios began, the Studio only had rights to so many Marvel characters such as Iron man, Captain America and Thor. Characters like the x men, fantastic four and dead pool are owned by 20th Century Fox. 20th Century Fox were doing terrible with their super hero movies until they rolled out Dead pool in 2016 which made more profits than all the x Men and fantastic Four movies. This killed the dream of marvel studios getting there rights back to the other marvel characters. One of the most famous marvel super heroes, spider man is owned by Sony but in 2015 a deal was struck between Marvel Studios and Sony to share the rights of spider man if Sony gets some part of the profit.
To date, Marvel Studios dominates the superhero genre but on the rise, there is Warner Bros with the main competitors with Marvel (DC). DC comics own superhero’s such as superman, Batman, Wonder woman and the Flash. Warner bros have kicked off their DC cinematic universe with films such as Man of Steal, Batman vs Superman, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman. Since the first couple of DC movies were a flop, the marvel Cinematic universe still rains at the top of the box office rolling out 3 movies a year.

Posters in the cinema will encourage people to go see the film and go back to the cinema working in both favours of the film company and the cinema. 
This film was released in cinemas on July 7th 2017. The Film Spiderman Homecoming was released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 17th 2017. The film was also released on Amazon Video and ITunes on September 26th 2017.
The film was available in a lot of countries such as U.S.A, European countries, Australia, Canada, Japan and China.
Cross media is where a movie company approaches a different company such as Lego to advertise there movie in different ways such as Toys, Video games and Magazines. Spiderman homecoming released a lot of merchandise since Spiderman is such a popular and inspirational figure towards kids. In this trailer we see Tony Stark mentoring Spiderman telling him to stay away from the big bad villains but he wouldn't listen. In Spiderman Homecoming trailer 1 there are no leads on any strong female characters and there is non in all of the relased trailers because this is a centered spiderman film and the second strong character in this film is Tony Stark (Ironman).
