- Tutorials are seen as more useful than lectures. 
- Time restrictions influence concentration. Priorities may shift. MOTIVATION / PRIORITIES
- Commitments in other subjects may influence concentration in the classroom e.g. assignment deadlines. COMPETING DEMANDS
