The name Sbrisolona comes from the Italian word "briciola" (crumb). You don't need to roll the dough or make it look elegant; you simply use your hands to create irregular pieces of dough.</strong></p><p><strong>I chose this dish for a very special reason: it represents my childhood. My mum has always made this cake for me since I was a little girl. I have many memories of her in the kitchen, mixing the ingredients to create those typical "crumbs" (in fact, "sbriciolare" means to crumble).</strong></p><p><strong>Today, it is a recipe that everyone in my family loves, and we bake it very often, especially on Sundays. Since I learned how to make it, I often help my mum or prepare it myself for our family dinners. It is our favorite way to spend time together.</strong></p><p><strong>I want to keep this tradition alive and, in the future, I would like to pass this habit down to my own family. It's a home classic, super versatile and loved for its simplicity and intense flavor perfect in single portions with cocoa on top or whipped cream.</p><p><br/></p><p>Ingredients for 6 molds (150-200 ml):</p><ul><li><p>750 ml whole milk</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>150 g dark chocolate (50-70%)</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>120 g sugar</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>75 g butter</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>60 g cornstarch</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>1 and a half vanilla pods (or 1 and a half packets)</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Unsweetened cocoa to taste</p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Quick method: Chop and melt chocolate with butter and vanilla in a double boiler. Mix cold milk, sugar, and cornstarch in a saucepan, bring to a boil stirring vigorously, add the chocolate, and cook 2-3 minutes until it thickens. Pour into wet molds, cover with plastic wrap touching the surface, and fridge for 3-4 hours.
