         <title>Differentiate between a Language Need and a Learning Disability</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Step 2 : Communicate with Parents and Families</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Contact parents to express concerns and gather more information about factors that may be impacting the student's performance, like learning disabilities, attention issues, or problems at home. If symptoms are minor, approach parents during the event such as "Meet the Teacher Night" which the teacher updates on the progress of individual privately might be an option. </p><p><br></p><p>Then, suggest different approaches and methods for a language need learner and a learning disability learner. As what the video shows in step 3, parents with learning disabilities need more support such as medical counseling or devices. </p><p><br></p><p><em>Both parents need to be proactive and look for interventions which are suitable for their kid. </em></p>]]></description>

Here are some effective support strategies:</p><ul><li><p>Make learning more tangible and visualized: draw a diagram, timeline, make a check list, etc</p></li><li><p>Expose more hands-on experiences and practical teaching methods</p></li><li><p>One-on-one tutoring to give individualized attention to help fill knowledge gaps</p></li><li><p>Reading short sentences daily and make connection between various ideas and topics</p></li><li><p>Generating progress report to assess ongoing progress and supports according</p></li><li><p>Creating communication channels to connect with students and parents about performance issues</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><mark>"The most effective learning strategies are not intuitive.
