Jean-Baptiste Nicolas Robert Schuman, better known as Robert Schuman, was a French politician of German-Luxembourg origin. He is considered one of the "fathers of Europe" in reference to his decisive participation in the creation of the European Communities.

- When it was created, the European Union seeked to further world peace, its principles, and the welfare of its people. To offer freedom, security, and justice without internal borders while taking the necessary actions at its borders to control immigration and asylum as well as to prevent combat crime.
