The increase in CO2 causes plants to retain more water that would have evaporated from their leaves that would have helped cool the earths atmosphere but the extra CO2 causes them not too release it. It causes the tiny vent like things on the leaves called stomata to close faster because more CO2 is getting in but less water is escaping.
