My main interest started after the Oscar Academy Awards, in this case the movie had 10 nominations and won 3 Oscars (Best Movie, Best Photography and Best Non-English spoken Movie), even though it was a movie released for Netflix earlier than in theaters, in that way i had decided to give a chance to the movie. ]]> 2020-03-26 04:25:30 UTC https://padlet.com/yamithzair/5naenqi7x9gw/wish/475731141 yamithzair https://padlet.com/yamithzair/5naenqi7x9gw/wish/475739818 This Movie is a living photograph of the Mexican Culture from 1970's decade, showing us both sides of the Mexican Society: The 1st side talks about the Mexican traditional families in Colonia Roma (an emblematic neighborhood near to the center of Mexico City), explaining their lifestyles, amenities and relationships between parents and families (living in big houses, expending money, driving 2 cars ang getting good and well paid jobs). 

The 2nd Side is related to the first in a misterious way, because it let us aprecciate the life of Cleo (interpreted by Yalitza Aparicio) an indigenous girl who works as a housekeeper and nanny for a familiy in Colonia Roma. 

It's a total contrast of stories, because all the movie turns around Cleo's experience working and living in the family's house for many years, and how she becomes a member of the family stablishing strong feelings with the children and their mother. Cleo went through very difficult moments in her life but she's able to stay strong and happy in front of the others.

- The Black and white filming effects and excelent photography, takes you to the exact time of the movie, the places, the clothes, the classic cars, the popular locations are perfectly addapted.
- The Director's References (Alfonso Cuaron) who has a large experience and he is recognized for excellent movies in the cinematrographic scene.
- This movie has a message, explaining us how two groups of people from different social backgrounds used to share their sadness and happiness in many ways.
