-Colette: she is a very kind and starry-eyed little mouse, she adores fashion, especially if the clothes are pink. When she grows up she would like to be a fashion journalist.

-Violet: She is a self-conscious little mouse who loves the colour violet. She loves reading, classical music and learning new things. She has your way with for playing the violin and would like to become a famous violinist.

-Paulina: She is an altruistic little mouse, highly active and serene, she likes the colour orange, travelling and meeting people from all over the world. She has your way with technology and computers.

-Nicky: She is a little Australian mouse who loves nature, the colour green, sports and ecology. She is very courageous, indomitable, loves to live outdoors and is very restless.

-Pamela: She is a very cunning little mouse, who likes the colour red, and has a passion for mechanics and anything to do with fixing things. She has a weakness for pizza and loves to cook.

-Tea Stilton: She is Geronimo Stilton's sister and the special envoy of the Rodent Echo, the most famous newspaper on Mouse Island. She is a little mouse who loves travelling, adventures and meeting people from all over the world. She is a professor at Ratford University, where she met Pamela, Nicky, Violet, Colette and Pauline, who named themselves The Tea Club.

-Tom Berry: is a rather mysterious rodent and the owner of the resort and Ekana's partner. He is depraved, callous and spiteful.

-Ekana Kahanamoku: he is a very affable and nice rodent. He is Tom Berry's partner in the luxury resort and Nahele's grandson.

-Renani: is an affable, considerate, sympathetic boy who is in love with Nicky. He lives on the island of Maui and is a member of the Apikalia group.

-Vanilla: She is a rather obnoxious, aloof and talk down to little mouse, who only confronts the girls of the Tea Club. She also has a group with her friends, called the Vanilla Girls.

-Nahele: is a premonitory old rodent, very simply dressed and barefoot. He is worried about the danger to the people in the resort, because he claims that the volcano will erupt because of the signals sent by nature. He is Ekana's grandfather.

-Professor George Gordon: he is the head of the Research Observatory. He is a depraved rodent, who was in conspiracy with Tom Berry to leak information from the volcano to make it look like there is nothing going on with the volcano when the opposite is true.

- Professor Van Kraken: is the professor at the Research Observatory, who helps the Tea Club Girls with their research about the resort and the volcano.

The story follows the Tea Club Girls, who are selected, along with the Vanilla Girls, as representatives of Ratford University to participate in a hula competition in Hawaii.

Hula is a traditional dance of Polynesian origin, which is accompanied by singing (mele). It is a dance characterised by harmonious movements of the hands, hips and feet. It consists of wearing a short or long cloth skirt and jewellery made of shells, berries and ferns around the ankles and wrists. And of course, on their heads and necks they wear flowers.

When the girls landed at Hilo airport on the island of Hawaii, they were met at the airport by dancers who placed coloured flower necklaces called "lei", which means "Hello", around their necks. After this, a car picked them up and took them to the super luxurious resort, which had everything you can imagine. While there, the Vanilla Girls challenged them by saying that they would win and that the Tea Club Girls would make fools of themselves. While this was going on, an old man approached the guests at the resort saying that we were all in danger, as the volcano would erupt and so on, so two policemen took him away so he wouldn't bother them anymore. The girls, who had watched the whole thing, were perplexed, but decided to enter the wonderful resort.

The resort organised a welcome party, where they met the owner of the resort, Tom Berry, and his business partner Ekana Kahanamoku, with whom they talked about how wonderful the resort is. While the girls were talking to Ekana, they saw Tom Berry talking to a skinny, glasses-wearing rodent, who was carrying a folder full of papers, and they began to talk in whispers. The girls did not have a very positive impression of Tom Berry.

Suddenly, Paulina received a call from her friend Professor Van Kraken, who urgently asked for help about volcanic activity at Mauna Loa, the volcano that was literally next door to her resort. The professor had called the scientists at the Hawaii Research Observatory, but they had not had any alarming information from the volcano and that was very strange, since it did appear to him.

The next day it was their turn to perform, and they did really well. There they met Renani, the captain of one of the groups of contestants called Apikalia, who invited them to go surfing with them. Nicky was very attracted to him and kept a very good relationship with him.

Whereas they were on the beach, they saw that strange old man again and just before Paulina could approach him to ask him about her worries, Ekana overtook her and started telling that poor old man, who was her grandfather, to go away and leave the guests alone. Paulina was perplexed as she did not know that the rodent was Ekana's grandfather. When he left, Paulina took the old man to sit down and asked him to tell her what he was worried about.

Nahele, as the old man was called, told them the legend of the fire flowers, which said that when a lonely white dog was seen walking the fire flowers would appear, that is, the volcano would erupt. Just as Nahele was telling this legend the white dog appeared, and the girls decided it was time to investigate these events further. Therefore, they asked questions about the volcano's past and these questions led them to the Research Observatory. As they set off they met two policemen (who they did not believe to be real) who had previously arrested Nahele, who warned them that they would have to go to the resort to sleep. When the girls arrived at the resort they saw Tom Berry who was talking about them, as he was watching them, so from now on they would have to be very careful.

The next morning came and for the next performance they had to go by bus, so they put the wonderful dresses that Colette had made in a backpack, when it was time to sit on the bus one of the Vanilla Girls stole Colette's dress slyly to make them lose, but it didn't work out, as Renani found the dress and took it away. Nicky was falling more and more in love with him. The girls put on a great performance which saw them move up the rankings and equal with team Apikalia. As soon as the performance was over they headed, together with Renani, to the Observatory, but then they realised that they were being persecuted, so they went as fast as they could to the Observatory. While there, they met Professor George Gordon, who was talking to Tom Berry at the welcome party. The girls asked all sorts of questions, but didn't get the answers they were looking for, so they headed back to the resort.

Taking this into account, they went to tell Ekana everything they had discovered, Ekana at first did not give in but then accompanied the girls to the Observatory to find evidence to blame Professor George Gordon for manipulating the results of the volcano and to see that Tom Berry was also involved. Unfortunately, they were caught and arrested, the good thing about this was that he had discovered that the professor had connected a device that diverted all the seismograph results directly to his computer, so that he could manipulate the results, so that in the past he and Tom Berry could do business with Ekana and buy their land, to build the actual resort. Tom Berry and his "policemen" took them to a cellar where they left them tied up and with zeal in their mouths. It was impossible to escape from there, then they saw someone coming, it was Ekana's grandfather, who came to save them, as soon as Nahele freed his grandson, he apologised for not having believed him, his grandfather told him that nothing was wrong, the bad thing is that sometimes you fall into the hands of bad people, but the best thing is that he has realised in time and can fix it before a greater evil happens.

At that moment a loud noise was heard, it was the Mauna Loa erupting, the boys ran out to the resort to get everyone out of there. Seeing that some people didn't believe it, one of them Vanilla, Colette caught her arm and showed her the volcano from the window, when she saw the volcano erupting Vanilla shouted so loudly for everyone to get out, thanks to her they were able to get everyone out faster. The girls went to Tom Berry's office and found him and his goons and the professor taking the money from the safe-deposit box, they were shocked to see them. The girls warned them to get out of there running as the lava would reach the resort in a few minutes, they ignored them, but when they saw a glow that lit up the room they had no legs to run for it.

Out of harm's way, they were arrested for their crimes and the girls took in the wonderful views of the lava as it washed into the ocean. 

Finally, they said goodbye to everyone, Renani gave Nicky a CD of Hawaiian songs, where she expressed her love with the songs and left her a message that they would see each other again soon.  They then left for the University, where they told Tea everything that had happened, and she was very proud of her friends.

I have chosen this book because since I was a little girl I have loved adventure books and especially books with lots of illustrations. Although this type of book is not the most appropriate for a girl of almost 18 years old, reading this type of book makes me feel like I am travelling to the places I read about, whether they are real places or fictitious places. This kind of books are the ones that everyone should read, even if they are not many, in order to make you remember your childhood and not lose that touch of innocence that we carry inside us and that sometimes we forget because of the routine or the statuses of society. You are never too old to read books that help you to travel through your imagination 

It's a book written by Teensspirit in 2021, and it's about a girl, Reese Russell who has a perfect life, but she starts to be a victim of very strange events and receives anonymous threats. On the other hand, her father Bruce Russell has three jobs and in one of them, he is the owner of a reformatory where he has to find a job for Eros Douglas, a young criminal, so he decides to make him Reese's new bodyguard. Eros and Reese begin to have a kind of chemistry and experience many moments together.

The characters are underdeveloped, very flat and it is a story full of clichés, the main one being enemies-to-lovers, i.e. the typical bad boy with a traumatic past who falls in love with a rich good girl.

We are introduced to the main characters:

·        Eros Douglas as an orphan boy with a complicated past. He is a character who does what he wants. He's the typical boy who is super handsome and a jerk. Sometimes he can be unpleasant and distant, but you get to like him.

·        Reese Russell is the typical "daddy's girl", who has a talent for ballet, plus she's excited to live a life with Eros, although it's not detailed much in the first part of the book. 

·        Bruce Russell is the rich father of our protagonist, who is a bit fussy about some situations with Reese, and holds on to stories from the past that he doesn't want to tell anyone.

I have chosen this book because when I read it for the first time it made an impression on me. I was really hooked by the plot and also, the cover caught my attention. Of the whole book what I enjoyed the most was the end, that's when the real action starts, when secrets come out and the plot twists and turns don't stop.

It all begins with the loss of a little girl on Christmas Day. Her parents try to find her day after day but they can't find her, so they needed the help of Miren Triggs and the inspector Ben Miller. 
On day Miren suffered sexual abuse so it is the detonant for the implication in the case.
Althought the case was difficultly, all years the parents received a Kiera's video, for know that she was well. 
This video was sent for the kidnappers but they did not want to do harm to the girls, only wants have a baby due to the fact that the woman have difficulties to have babies. 
Finally, the woman's husband dissapeared leaving the woman and the girl alone, which caused that the woman gone to the famili's house and they will recover her daughter although she have seventeen years. 

REVIEW

I have choosen this book due to the fact that under my point of view, it have drama, love, and is a book that makes you see how some people never rest for finally find the resolution althought in many cases it is bad and sadly, for example with the deaths of ladies, the abuses...however in the case of Kiera Templeton the finally was great taking into consideration that for this final, Miren passed for tragic moments. 
Another value we learn is the superation altought in your life you had a bad relathionship or some problems.  
An important fact is that it is not the only Javier Castillo 's book, he have four more for if you want take a look. 

Almond, is a narration of personal growing, discover yourself…

Also, in the tale we can notice the callous of human; moreover the oblivious life of the main character.

In a word, is a beauty story that tell us: “somebody is only human” 

Yunjae, the protagonist, in all the situations is so conformist due to the fact that he is a little spineless and imperturbable when someone is truculent or obnoxious with him.

His mother, is very thin, has a dark hair and many times wears a red lip color. She try to help to her son with the feelings. His grandmother also help in the home but all this characters are not so important compared to Yunjae.

I love this book for all this things; besides, many people that have read the book will give the same point of view.

Is not only an entertaiment, is a lesson for the life.

 The story in this book is set thousands of years in the past in an imaginary world where   the callous barbarians have taken control of the kingdom. Viana, the only daughter of the Duke of Rocagrís, has been engaged to the young Robian de Castelmar since they were both children. The two love each other and are to be married in the spring. However, during the winter solstice festivities, a surly mountain man calling himself Wolf warns the king of Nortia and his knights of the threat of barbarians from the steppes... and both Robian and the duke are forced to go to war. In such circumstances, a maiden like Viana can do nothing but wait for their return.But unfortunately her father the duke dies in the war. Moreover, the barbarians, who are spiteful and indomitable, win the war and kill the king and his sons.

They also force  all noble and aristocratic women of all ages to marry them and that includes Viana who can’t accept that her father passed away and her fiancé  does not fight for her.

 In these  circumstances Vaina marries a barbarian whois later killed by her

She runs and escapes to the forest where she meets Wolf  who helps her a lot to defeat and run up against  the barbarians and the love of her life and our male Uri.

There are a lot of characters but the most important  are:

Viana de Rocagrís: She is the daughter of Duke Corven de Rocagrís, a maiden educated in a castle and she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her mother died when she was a child. She is betrothed to Robian of Castelmar and loves him. She has long honey-coloured hair and grey eyes. She is a fine and polite maiden, but a very brave, cunning, stolid  and strong woman when needed

Uri: A  magical being in human form. His skin is mottled and his eyes are greener than moss. Viana finds him unconscious in the middle of the forest; he is soft-hearted, naive  and perceptive. Also somehow he is very self conscious

Wolf: A cunning, composed  and biting mountaineer. In his past he was an important, noble and brave person, but because of a past mistake that cost him his ear and his title, he stayed  living in the forest.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I felt a lot of emotions. I even cried near the end.

Actually I loved all the characters, not the barbarians, and I fell for Uri and his personality and i admire Viana and her self awareness there is something else i loved about her  and that is the development of her character and how she has gone from being a weak maiden to a person who fights for her freedom.

Riley: He is an intelligent 11-year-old boy who believes in the whispers of the forest and will try to find them during the plot.

Dylan: He's the boy Riley likes, he's in eighth grade and helps his father on the farm.

Riley’s mother: She has been missing for four months, Riley loved her more than anyone, he will have to go to a police inspector to try to solve the case.

Frank: He is the fat, bald police inspector that Riley goes to see to try to find her missing mother, although Riley thinks he is the worst inspector as he doesn't solve anything.

Gary: He is Riley's friend, they both go camping to find the whispers.

Riley's brother: he is the older brother, they don't get along well.

Riley's father: He became very serious and distant when Riley's mother disappeared, by the end of the plot, the family will feel close again.

Tucker: Riley's dog, he is Riley's best friend, he is very loyal and lovely.   

Riley's mother has been missing for four months, so Riley has to see a police inspector every week to try to solve the case, but Riley doesn't like this inspector, because since he's been going, nothing has been solved, so Riley decides to take matters into his own hands, with his friend Gary and his dog Tucker, he decides to go into the woods to find the whispers. According to a story his mother used to tell him, the whispers, in exchange for an attribute or gift, could grant you any wish. Riley thought that if he found them, they could tell him where his mother was, so he set off on the adventure. A series of events will happen until he finally finds them.

In the end, Riley discovers terrible news that he himself was avoiding and that will completely change the story.

But that news is for you to discover, I'm not going to give you spoilers.😁😁😁

I chose this story because at the beginning it seems a bit childish, but as you get deeper into the story, you like it more and more. At the end there is a plot twist that brings the whole story apart and makes you realise that everything you have read has been in the mind of a child trying to escape from his family problems.

It is a novel that criticizes the solidarity of the population written by Albert Camus.

The Plot
The story is located in Oran, a city belonging to the Algerian coast, around the 20th century. The narrator of the story is the protagonist himself, Dr. Rieux, who writes it based on his own experiences in the city and through some notes from Tarrou, a partner and friend in the story. When the story begins, the protagonist's wife, Rieux, has just been transferred out of town to treat her illness.

It begins one morning when Rieux leaves his house and finds a couple of dead rats in his house, when he goes to notify the doorman, he tells him that it is not his responsibility since it is happening throughout the city. When Dr. Rieux was to visit his patients, he was alarmed that many of them presented common symptoms, headache, high fever, etc. That same day Rieux went to visit a patient he had known for a long time, Grand, he had warned him that his neighbor, Cottard, had attempted suicide by hanging himself but had been taken down in time, and that he needed medical attention.

The next day when the doorman arrived, I observed that he also had these symptoms and, the next day, the doorman died.

After consulting for several days with various doctors, friends of his, and with Tarrou, who was in charge of the death figures in the city, they all came to the same conclusion: the plague had arrived in Oran.

The first conflict occurred when they wanted to take the necessary precautionary measures in these cases. This implied the closure of the city, the quarantine of patients and relatives, and even the outgoing of letters and the exclusive use of telegrams for cases of great importance were prohibited.

Rieux was in charge of organizing the hospitals and the creation of provisional care centers for the sick since the hospitals were insufficient to care for them. In this important task he was helped by Gran, Tarrou and later Rambert with whom he became friends.

 The book reflects the changes produced by the plague in society , The population began to become individualized and dehumanized .
After several months of plague it was Grand who fell ill but Grand miraculously resisted and the next morning he had practically all the symptoms of the plague disappeared, these "miracles" began to happen more and more frequently and even in cases of extreme danger.
That same day, Rieux accompanied Grand to his house where he found the street surrounded by the police. A madman had started shooting from his house and had injured a policeman. It was Cottard who was later arrested by the police.

The story ends with Rieux's conclusion that after seeing that the joy of the population remembers that the plague bacillus never dies or disappears and that the day may come when the plague will awaken again.
Characters

Rieux: he is the protagonist and narrator of the story, he tells the story based on his own experiences and Tarrou's notes, as a narrator he tries to be objective at all times but he himself admits that he is not always successful. He is a doctor and he was the one who first tried to get the plague declared and the one who later took charge of organizing the hospitals and care centers.
Tarrou: at first he is in charge of the statistics of the dead in the city but he ended up becoming Rieux's partner helping him in his task with the sick .
Grand: Rieux's usual patient, with the plague he ends up making friends with him and helping him with his homework. His obsession with writing his book and carefully correcting all the words over and over again stands out.
Rambert: his obsession was to leave the city since he believed that not being from it he had the right to leave, little by little he realizes that the plague has united him to the city as one more of the population. He also ends up helping Rieux.
Cottard: He wants the plague to last as long as possible because when it ends he will be sentenced to death. He ends up causing a shootout with the police from which he is arrested
Personal opinion
I have decided to choose this novel because I read it a long time ago and I remember it as an example and criticize society, and also with the pandemic we have experienced, it seems crazy to me (:

 

I have chosen this book due to the fact that I find it really interesting, and it can concern us about climate change and the truth of TV shows. Furthermore, it is an intriguing book, due to the fact that it has two different stories, related to each other. 

Tierra was written by Eloy Moreno, who is one of the current promises in the field of literature, owing to the fact that each book he writes gets more people to love his mysterious and accurate way of writing since it deals with very current topics in order to make its readers aware of them.

Tierra's release was February 6, 2020, its gender if fiction.

The story starts with two siblings and their father going to a remote house in the middle of the forest. They were going to play a game, and their father promised if they won he would grant them whatever they asked for, the game was being recorded but something went wrong. That is the beginning of a hate story between the father and his daughter. Then she grew up with no contact with her family but after her father's death she was forced to reestablish contact with her brother, due to the fact that their father left them one last game, in which Nelly, the protagonist, would have her wish fulfilled. Then, to play they must follow several clues that will take them to the end of the game, during the game they must travel from place to place to reach the end.

Finally, Nelly finishes the game and discovers that what she ask for was not possible due to the ignorance of people.

At the same time, the book speaks about a reality show about six citizens who were going to participate in the creation of a human colony on Mars, and the history tells us what their life is like there and some of their secrets.

In this book we will find a lot of secondary characters but we are going to put our attention on Nelly and her father chiefly.

Nelly: After what happened in the cottage she began to move away from her family. When she grew up, she studied journalism to uncover things that seem unfair to her. She even goes so far to take her father to court for the continuous farce of his television programs. She is aloof with her family, as we said before. She also does not make up with the few knowledge she acquires. Nelly is show in the book aas someone that is gullible due to the petition to her father. But when we get into the book we find out a spellbinding protagonist, because of her courage, we will never see her downcast as she is a strong person.

William Miller: he is the father of Nel. He is a businessman with a strong character like his daughter. In the book is described as a person with no feelings and an obnoxious person whose only concern is money. He is oblivious of the power he has and he will avail it for his own benefit. He decided to tear away from the world in his last performance and that is when he left their children the last play.

 The period of time where the story takes place is during the Second World War, so it happends between 1939 and 1945. This books tells the story about the child of a german family who are loyal to Hitler. 

The little boy, whose name is Bruno. Was curious about the outside world, because he wasn’t allowed to go farther than his home, he was constantly complaining about that to his mother. Also, through his window, he can see a place where there were lots of people, but all he knew about this place is that it was a people’s farm, or at least that was what his mother told him. 

 One day, while he was playing outside, he discovers a way to scape and go outside and he walks untill he arrives to the ¨farm¨, where he find out a boy like him in the other part of the fence, they were like a house on fire and Bruno was looking around him at the ¨farm¨ for some time until, his family decided to move in to other place, he didn’t want to go to other place without his friend, and they planed a way to escape from the concentration camp. Bruno get a suit and he enter to the camp, not until his mother noticed about his dissaparence. Bruno and his friend were sent to a place, they thought to take a shower, but the realitity is that they were going to death owing to a chemical that the soldier introced.

Bruno is a child with 9 years more or less, brown hair and light complexion, he have a blithe interest for the exploration and he is always movin around, indefatigable.

Shmuel, have the same age as Bruno, light complexion to but he have blonde hair, he is composed and self-concious.
