ID is a systematic process of creating instructional systems and instructional materials. ID is following a system of assessing needs, designing a process, developing materials and evaluating its effectiveness.

As ID is a systematic process, there are few tools that are important such as, what type of theory that should be followed, what models that is suitable with our design, materials, hardware, software, who is our team and we must plan the project management.

The audience could be individual or group. Why we need needs analysis? It is because, we wanted to help the audience to solve their problem effectively.



In our project, this is where we start as we decided to create a Dyslexia video in order to help one of our lecturer, Dr Aisyah in her class. This idea was suggested by Dr Tunku as our instructor. We come out with our objective, learning outcomes and decided on what type of model we wanted to follow. We refer mostly to Dr Aisyah's slides on Dyslexia as our main reference so that it will ease her teaching journey in class. Once the script is done, we present it to Dr Tunku first in order to get her feedback and she did some corrections to our topic. What  we have learnt from Dr Tunku, we have to be natural in delivering a video content and do not sound too formal, stiff and rigid.

Once we are done with the scripting, we moved to the storyboarding phase. Storyboarding is a graphic representation of how the video will be unfold, shot by shot along with the script and voice over. In this process, we choose to create our storyboard on Microsoft power point. Dr Tunku introduced us to Milanote and storyboarder too.  For some people, storyboarding is  not important but what i have learnt is how storyboarding helps me understand the full flow of our video. Storyboarding is very effective and it is very easy to be created and in storyboarding, we know where, when and what content should and should not be in every scene or frame.

Next, we move to prototyping process where we create a draft of our product (Dyslexia video). There are two types of prototype, low-Fi and Hi-Fi. Once it was done, we conduct the run-through by having a small group of people to  watch and give feedbacks on or video. We were helped by Dr Tunku to reach two postgraduate sisters to help us with the pilot testing and the feedbacks somehow helpful and we improved few parts in the video before we reach the beta version. In addition, we also showed our video to Sir Imran as we wanted to ask his opinion on any parts that should be improve especially the animation part and Sir Imran suggested to us few applications that can ease our ID project journey like freepik and convertio.

The new things that i learned in this phase is how smooth and clear the progress is as we move step by step using ADDIE Model and I have improved my knowledge on google form as we use it to collect feedbacks for our video. We received lots of positive feedbacks and there are some negative comments too which is quite helpful in order to improve our alpha version video.

Based on the recommendation from Dr Tunku, we did a summative testing instead of formative testing where we only focus on reaction and learning due to the unexpected circumstances we are in. While analyzing the data, we use SPSS to collect our data and it was a new experience to me on using this software and it is truly helpful. The good thing is, Dr Tunku guided us step by step patiently to make sure we do not feel burden while completing this project and by having a model as a reference somehow help us reach our goal effectively, successfully and nicely. The truth is, in the beginning of the class, I do not really understand what we are going to do plus facing a pandemic break for few months and after that started an online classes out of sudden where students and lecturers are struggling so hard in teaching and learning process, but due to the unlimited guidance from Dr Tunku, we managed to go through this new phase of life and I have improve my level of understanding on what we did up till now.
