Personal identity relating to their idiolect, dialect, accent, their face and politeness. Does this person want to be viewed with negative face or is it positive? Convergence vs Divergence. 

Public identity relating to their sociolect, jargon, profession, face threatening acts and Grice's maxims.

When writing the essay, there is similarities as well as differences and that needs to be considered.
