My intial idea for this project is to portray the resentment and uncomfortable atmosphere I felt when living in an abusive household. Over the first lockdown I went back to my family home with my mum and step dad. I realised in this time that I was living in an abusive household for years, my step dad only talking to me when threatening to kick me out, along with a number of curse words. I eventually got kicked out in late summer, and havent had contact with my family since. I commonly do my projects as a form of therapy, taking things that have affected me recently and finding out through my photographs why i felt a certain way. I am interested in photographing in a domestic setting, rather than outside which is my usual choice, as it will automatically make me feel more uncomfortable and will therefore draw my emotions out into the photographs.
Inspiration: Polly Penrose

Portraying my desperate need for attachment in my every day life. Growing up, I was a lone child who moved over to England at a young age. I found it hard to make friends and once I did, I moved again to another part of the country and I had to start the whole process over. Dicorced parents and no contact with any family made it difficult from a young age to find these emotional bonds between others, I find it even more interesting that I have developed mental health illnesses around the obsticle of attatchment. Could I attatch someone else to me in a physical way and photograph it? What is attatchment?
Inspiration: Chloe Rosser, Form and Function

What is it like to be on a suppressive medication? I have very recently been prescribed depression and anxiety medication. I found it very interesting when I took my first dose that I went completely spaced out, I felt so amazingly relaxed and I wondered what it would be like to try to physically convey what I was feeling. I feel like this would be quite a fun project, typically because i would try to be very creative and 'fine art' with my practice, rather than being very dramatic and dark as my other work has been in the past.

I think these ideas are really interesting and would definitely work well to further the themes and concepts you're already exploring.
I think that idea 3 could definitely be incorporated into the other two ideas (as I feel like 1 & 2 go together hand in hand), maybe making the performances with the objects more playful ie. using brighter lighting in order to stop the images seeming too dark or melancholic (like you've said about your previous work) - Amber :)
