Every year since the beginning of the NFL lineman were always an after thought. They were paid whatever was left from an organization after they gave out all the money they had to their "skill" players. But, now as of July of 2023, has marked the start where linemen are represented and are getting paid the money they deserve for their hard work.

1922: This day marked when the color barrier was broken for lineman in the NFL. Duke Slater was signed to the NFL in 1922 and he was too good to be left out. He was the first black lineman ever, he was celebrated in the Pro Football Hall of fame in 2022.

By: Ryan O'Callaghan; This is a book where he explains his experiences in College and NFL football as a closeted gay man. He speaks on how the helmet became and mask, and shoulder pads became armor. You can learn and watch a lot about lineman on social media, YouTube, television, etc. Lineman popularity has increased and so has the programs that are providing services to watch and learn about them.

And, always you can go become a lineman if you are up for it (or you can come watch me play!)
