This video takes us through what it is like for parents to live and take care of a child/children with Cystic Fibrosis. It is a lot of planning when they have to make time in there day to do treatments and take medications. They also briefly go into the history of how people found out about CF. Originally kids were diagnosed based on how salty their sweat was. They went by the saltier the child's skin the less time they have to live. Dorothy Anderson was the first doctor to really discover why this disease was so life threatening. airway, called the trachea, branches into
each of your lungs. The largest airway within each lung is called a bronchus and each bronchus branches into smaller airways called bronchioles normally
airways are coated inside with a thin
layer of fluid in mucus. But with CF your body produces much more mucus then it can handle.
