We're going to focus on drama and fiction stories. Every day, we'll look at a new story. And of course, we'll tackle those all-important questions that help us understand the text even better.

Our STAAR prep has been a real adventure! The escape room-style sessions we've been doing, have been a hit!

During snack time, students have a chance to refuel and recharge. We give them a quick 5-minute break to enjoy a healthy snack. Please send your student a tasty, nutritious snack to keep their energy up and their minds ready to learn.

• Heat Guidelines:

  • 94 degrees or heat index above 99: 25 minutes max outside.

  • Above 100 degrees or heat index above 105: No outdoor activities.

• Cold Guidelines:

  • Below 32 degrees or wind chill below 30: 25 minutes max outside.

  • Temps below 20 degrees: No outdoor activities.

Elementary students in grades 2-5 may possess telecommunication devices; however, these devices are only to be used for instructional purposes under the direction of a teacher. These devices should be turned off and not visible at all other times during the school day on school property, including on school transportation.

Please remind your child of the risks involved in bringing toys to school—loss, theft, or damage.

First up, on April 25th, we'll be heading to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Fee to attend is $4.00.

Then, on May 14th, get ready to cheer because we're off to Reckling Park to watch Rice Baseball vs. Texas Southern! Fee to attend is $10.00.

🛠️ Character-Building Videos. Our school will follow along with a character-building program called World Changer Workshop. Students will learn about five different character traits needed to make a difference in the world!

🎁 Throughout the week, our class will earn fun rewards based on how much we raise on our classroom donation tracker. When our class earns a reward that adds some extra awesomeness to our day, I will be sure to let you know!

🎉 Event Day. This is the epic celebration - The Wild Run!

At our school, we're excited to announce our fundraising goal of $18,000. We're raising funds for two important projects: first, a vibrant mural to celebrate our 50th anniversary and showcase our school spirit. Second, we're installing a window covering/decal, similar to ones used in other Katy ISD elementary schools, to enhance student safety. Every contribution counts, and together, we can make our school an even better place for our children to learn and grow!
