Proof by verbosity: If you try to research about astrological signs, you will notice that the amount of information provided about the whole belief is way more than what is expected. Pseudoscience believers flood websites and articles with false information, confusing the reader and tricking him into believing that something with all this information must be true and legible when it's not.
Ancient wisdom: People believe that the belief about astrological signs has been carried from ancient times and since our ancient ancestors believed in this, it must be true which again, is a false claim considering the ancestors had no scientific knowledge to test their belief.
Confirmation bias: People who believe in astrology remember only the incidents when a vague prediction was even slightly accurate and completely ignore all the moments when it was totally inaccurate which results in confirmation bias.
Confusion of correlation with causation: Any incident that may have occurred in a specific time period where there may have been a vague astrological prediction about a similar incident results in believers connecting the two resulting in confusion with correlation and causation even when the two incidents aren't even slightly connected.
Mystical energy: There is believed to be some mystical energy behind the working of astrological signs which has never been seen, felt or heard but believers say it is present irrespective of there being no proof.

Reasons for belief of astrological signs can mainly be linked to emotional connection. People find a sense of hope in belief and following along with astrological signs and it makes them happy, causing them to solidifying their belief. Ideology is another reason for belief as people's ideology leads them into thinking that astrological signs affect our lives and well beings, thus making it important to follow.
