It was 12-15 minutes. They facilitated. It was very bonding, and they did not want to miss a meeting. 

I also, had a box in the back of the room where they could put any discussion topic in there for us to discuss on Friday's meetings. Friday's meetings were 30 minutes.

This focus on mathematics topics but also include a few questions that can be used to build rapport and knowledge of students interests and experiences. When analyzing this data ( yes this is data and it can help humanize many other types of data typically collected in schools) first start with identifying students strengths, math tool preferences, possible barriers to learning and then a plan of action for future instructional supports.
