For example, “2,403  Americans were killed in the attack and 1,178 were injured”. 
This shows the significant damage inflicted upon the Americans during the tragic event of Pearl Harbor. This attack destroyed ships and killed many people from sailors, soldiers, and civilians in the process.

For example, “killing An estimated  140000 people in Hiroshima and 74000 in Nagasaki. In the years that followed, many of the survivors would face leukemia, cancer, or other terrible side effects from the radiation.” This shows the catastrophic damage a plutonium bomb did, along with Japan surrendering on August 15, 1945.

For example, “The Japanese didn't have as much advanced technology as we did. They still operated with bolt-action assault rifles and clip-feeding machine guns. They had used more weapons, but in the battle of Okinawa, they didn't have a wide variety.” Though The U.S. had more advanced weapons. The war was still ultimately extremely difficult in winning.
