The Extent of technology used in combat of World War II affected the outcome of the Battle of Okinawa by the use of more advanced guns and a wide variety of weapons. For example, “The Japanese didn't have as much advanced technology as we did. They still operated with bolt-action assault rifles and clip-feeding machine guns. They had used more weapons, but in the battle of Okinawa, they didn't have a wide variety.” Though The U.S. had more advanced weapons. The war was still ultimately extremely difficult in winning.
Evidence Source:

https://sites.google.com/site/connerandcody/home/weapons-and-technology-japan
