To improve, go ahead and use the Magnetic Lasso tool to 'subdivide' the shapes you have got at the moment and use flat colour in the positive spaces.

These are very well blocked out compositions Darran. I particularly like the fact that you considered values in the composition - well done.

To improve, pay attention to the negative spaces and how that informs the composition as a whole.
You could also squint your eyes to help you see the values more better - 'darkest darks and lightest lights'.

    I also became aware of the lackluster detail put into "idea 3" compared to the other ideas.
    However I like that you have cited the necessary/primary resources for each of the other ideas.
    Your Planning page seems to have fallen behind, and this is further shown in some previous blog entries remaining empty.
    I would recommend creating a new site page, dedicated to your final idea. While on the topic of your final idea, I feel it would be more beneficial to shown a written evaluation referring to each idea, to better justify your final decision.
    Your extensive research page, is presented as very sparse, leaving the page seeming either incomplete or with little work on it. Perhaps you should decrease the empty space between paragraphs. On the topic of presentation, I would recommend adding a couple of images pertaining to each idea, instead of just the first two.
    An added tip when it comes to planning and setting targets, would be to add how much you estimate you will write and how long you estimate writing it would take.
