         <description><![CDATA[<div>After watching the virtual tour, I really did ask myself how those kind of structures are built. They are all amazing and indeed a masterpiece. I think structures are built by the expertise of both engineers and architects. It has a proper planning and analyzing. Also, by designing a blueprint and using it as a guide. It also takes a lot of manpower to build a structure. With the use ofcourse of construction materials buildings can be build. <br>Lastly, what prevents the structures from collapsing? I must say first is the foundation of the structures. I believe that the strength of a structure lies in its foundation. It supports the structure and keep it upright. Having a good foundation means that it can withstand some danger that might happen in the future like earthquakes or typhoons. I know that its not just the foundation itself that prevents the structure from collapsing there are also I think some other factors and I hope to learn more. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Building structures are not easy it needs a lot of effort and time. First step in building a structure isn't to reach for a hammer and some nails. Instead, it involves reaching for a pen and paper. A professional called an architect or civil engineer usually gets the process going by designing a blueprint for the building, which ends up to be the guide,which construction workers will use to know how to build the building.<br>Once a blueprint is already completed, most buildings follow a rough series of steps that have been done over the years. These steps allow builders to construct buildings in a cost-effective and  efficient manner that conforms to building codes. What prevents them from collapsing? Well having a strong foundation, from its location, to the materials being used and even the distribution of forces upon the structure.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before a structure is built by construction workers, engineers have already planned out everything from the site, materials to be used, manpower / laborers and the cost / expenses within the alloted time for the construction. Blueprints were provided that will served as a guide on constructing the structure. Different equipments used to help workers on their job from protective gears, for their safety, up until machines that will make their job easier, faster and more effective. Coordination is present in the workforce so that there won't be any unprecedented failures or disruptions during the process and so the workers must be attentive to the given orders by their respective supervisors. It's the civil engineers job to observe the whole process and check whether there's lapses or anything that wasn't correctly placed or procedures that weren't followed or skipped to avoid mishaps. To make the structure remain standing tall for a long period of time without collapsing, the materials used have gone through thorough tests to check whether it is durable and would be compatible to other materials, so the quality of the material must be observed. The framework of the structure were designed to withstand any threats that might occur as time passes by.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Structures are made by engineers who design a building based on the requirements, for proper elements and different types of loads. Before constructing a building one need to get permission to start construction from the government authorities. This is obtained when proper tests are conducted on the site to know whether the construction site is suitable or not. By ensuring the right materials and cement used in building a structure, we can prevent it from collapsing. And also, soil testing is very important before a structure. It enables the builders to determine foundation type and where to lay the foundation for the building proper. For me, I think National Building code must be implemented to the fullest. It is a document expected to regulate the conduct and operations of professionals and stakeholders in the construction industry.I believed that the absence of it is the responsible for the incessant incidence of collapsed buildings all over the world. It should be also noted that all buildings deteriorate and so maintenance is necessary.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Building a structure requires a thorough and intelligent plan starting from its blueprint, site, manpower, cost of the materials and the design of the building. It is a must to have a permission from the government for a building permit which falls for evaluation if it follows the National Building Code of the Philippines. As the engineer leads the process, he/she is responsible in terms of ensuring the accuracy of load calculations, precise estimate of materials and its quality, and making sure that the plan made will be carried out successfully. More importantly, the building could withstand from any disasters and calamities in the future. There should be a rigorous inspection like checking of foundation, and having a control measurements as possible. That way, the risk for building to collapse will be lowered, and most probably the collapsing of the structures could be prevented.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>How are structures are built?<br>       First, engineers will check the location of the site that the building is about to construct. They will consider the factors that may affect the soundness of structure so they can provide an appropriate materials and design that will fix and fit to the vulnerability of the area. In contruction period, they will prepare a frame that will support in constructing the beams an columns. These contituents of a building, serves as the foundation of the structure. After that, workers now will contruct the walls, slabs, windows, and etc.<br> <br>What prevents them from collapsing?<br>   A structure prevent from collapsing depending on what type of materials has been used and if the design fits the vulnerability of the area. The foundation of a building (beams and columns) should be built soundly because it stabilize the load and external forces  that triggers the structure to collapse. It is important also to consider that the ratio of materials is even. For example, in beams and columns the ratio must be 1:2:4 (cement, sand, and gravel), so the concrete is well proportion.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>How are structures built?<br>       Structures are built first by acquiring a lot that would be suitable for the said construction. After that we need to work with architects for the plans, designs and estimate of the project. Once the design and budget is approved by the client, that is when the construction begins.<br>         The first step during the construction is the site preparation, after that the excavation for the foundation will follow. After the foundation work is done, ground beams, columns and beams are next. Followed by masonry works, floor slab, roof structures, doors amd windows framing and fixation, electrical and plumbing, and lastly roof, exterior and interior finishes.<br><br><br>What prevents them from collapsing?<br>          A good good plan and design, quality of materials used, reinforcement, and the stability and strenght of the building are factors that will prevent them from collapsing.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Structures are built with a precise plan, but before planning, Engineers conducts tests or study on the desired location of the structure if the location can carry or can support the load of the structure after that grading and site preparation will follow and so on and so forth until such time the structure is erected and ready for usage or occupancy.<br><br><strong>What prevents them from collapsing?<br><br></strong>The tests and the experiments conducted by the Civil Engineers before erecting the structure is what prevents the structure for collapsing. The test administered by the Civil Engineers of the structure are usually about the geotechnical properties of the soil on where the structure will be erected and  also the test on the structure where the structure is subject with various loads that will act on the structure in the future. The results of the test will be the basis of the Civil Engineer of the structure for the overall design of the structure that is capable of freestanding even subjected with various loads.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>How are structures built?<br>        In order to build a structure, the Client must first consult to an Engineering Firm about the type of structure he/she has in mind, then the project manager with the client will then consult with the Engineers, Architect &amp; etc. about the details of the said plan, after their discussion about the plan &amp; budget they will now carry on the project as per the allotted time &amp; budget given to them.<br><br>What prevents them from collapsing?<br>      The reason on what prevents the proposed project from collapsing, is by the   confab made by the Client, Project Manager, Engineers, Architects, and etc. about the details of the said plan, they've discussed about the cons in the design, location, materials etc. about the project and how to improve/refine it.
