1. I pressed seashells into my clay slab. I chose this object because the lines in the shells looked like waves and my design is meant to look like the sun setting over the ocean.

2. I used dabs of color to create the effect of crashing waves. With one brush, I dabbed with blue and with the other brush I dabbed with white so the colors blended. The other technique I used was applying paint thick. I chose this technique so the waves had actual texture and felt three-dimensional.

3. I chose 3 types of yarn in my weft in shades of yellow to represent the colors of the sun. I chose a fluffy yarn to represent the heat rays coming off the sun.

To create texture in my clay, I pressed seashells into the hot air balloon to create a silky texture, I used a block with a basket-like texture for my basket, I used a toothpick to make flowy textures in the sky, and I used tinfoil to make a fluffy cloud texture for my clouds.

2. The two painting techniques I used to create texture in my painting is applying paint thick and tinting. I applied a thick coat of white paint to my clouds to express the fluffy texture and I used tinting around my basket and on the side of the hot air balloon.

3. I chose two different shades of pink for my weaving. Both of the yarns were kind of silky which goes with a hot air balloon very well.

Noah watts ,”the eye”

1. I pressed one seashell into my eye to make a tear for the texture of the
2. one painting technique that I used in the eye is I had to mix green and red to get the perfect tan color to match my skin color sure I definitely could have made it better but I had to make 3 of them so that was the best I could do the other technique that I used layered paint to make it thick like human skin so it would look and feel like human skin also because it makes it look nicer
3.the two types of yarn I used were black and white because those are the colors of an eye yes I did use black but I messed up on it so the white covered it up but you can see it clearly on the bottom and white around the black because everyone has white around there eyes so that is the terrible clay piece that I call the eye

Allison Miller “Sunset over a field”.

1.I pressed tinfoil on to the bottom of my clay slab to create a grassy texture.
2.I created all of the colors that I used except for my grass. To make my flowers, I used the bottem of a paint brush and dabbed the colors I created around the yellow center.
3.I chose to use three different kinds of yarn to make my moon. I chose them because they all had a different texture. The colors used together looks like a moon to me.
4. Once I did the sunset, I used the bottem of my brush to create the stars.

Lindi Baum
“A Blue Star”

1. To create texture in my clay I used a fabric with wavy texture to make it more uneven, I also dragged the edge of a seashell over it in some places to represent cosmic dust.

2. Two painting techniques I used were flicking a paint brush to create stars and layers of paint to create a more blended look in some places.

3. The first yarn I used was a stringy sky blue, I used that color because I wanted to start of with blue, I used that texture of yarn because I thought it added a little extra to the weaving. The next yarn I used was velvety and a pale blue, I used it because the color looked pretty next to the sky blue, plus the texture was soothing. The third yarn I used was a darker teal color that I added because I wanted the weaving to be a lighter near the senter and darker at the edge, it was also kind of hairy in texture and I thought that this would be nice. The fourth and final yarn I used was a plain black one I used it to add a little bit of a barrier between the painting and the weaving.
