The article provides valid claims supporting the increase of student's understanding of "logic-based aspects (awareness of the problem) and an emotional-based aspect (care about the problem). However, the experiment suggest that schools provide educational materials and ensure students are aware of SNS risks, but offer almost no actual cyber/digital interaction. The study suggests " students receive a simulated ‘worst-case scenario’ SNS-profile on paper and have to fill in questions about the profile together with a peer." How will placing the issue in the abstract, "pen and paper" approach help them become aware of SNS risks? Shouldn't we be guiding them through actual SNS sites and scenarios?

It won't. I still want to advocate for a Technology Teacher dedicated and full time to teach all students this and far more important things. BTW love the pic...

I agree Danny, we should be guiding them through actual site scenarios. We talk about movie guides, and it lists content. We should then also provide the knowledge for discernment with SNS.
