To me that statement means that sometimes life can be hard and overbearing and you just need to escape all you realities and go into a more happier space whether it be pen to paper or a simple escape of the mind

What's fact and what"s fiction? No one ever really knew when it came to Victor. I think his story telling was a way for him to escape the loneliness of being an outcast in his village. He could create spaces in his mind where he didn't have to be serious all the time, where he could fly like bird if he wanted to. His stories were a testament to how powerful the mind and imagination can be.

Creating a life with someone else where you have no worries, no children, no bills and you can relate on another level. He lived fact and fiction at the same time.

Although the letters in this short story were not a work of fiction the letters shared between estranged sisters is way of coming to grips with reality. Their letters are a way to connect them to the woman that they all share in common who they won't
see again in this life. This also gives them a chance to tell each other stories of their hopes, dreams and life imagined.

When I think of fiction I think of imagination. You can do what ever you'd like be whoever you want to be and go where ever you want to go. It is truly an escape from your realities and all of the things you have to do and the person you have to be.Fiction is my favorite genre because there are no limits on what can be created. Charlie and the chocolate factory is a great depiction on that for me.
