         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.   since you're looking for the 3rd term you would plug in 3 for n in b(n)=b(n-1)-7.<br>2.   solve whats in the parenthesis only.<br>3.   Then you plug in 2 so that b(2)=b(2-1)-7. solve whats in the parenthesis only, which should make that part b(1).<br>4.   since it gives use b(1)=-2, plug that in to b(2)=b(1)-7.<br>5.   solve that and you get b(2)=-9.
