It will also be very, very interesting to learn the reasons as to why different methods work for different students. Furthermore, I am excited about the writing aspect of this course and how it connects to the math part of this course.
 I am also excited to learn about how to approach the discipline of math, engaging students and preparing lessons, as well as the strategies for not only delivering instruction, but differentiating instruction.

Another goal is to learn more math myself and how to apply simple concepts to hard math problems. This will help me eventually pass the CST, which has a math section included.

At times it has been easy and fun, and at other times hard and stressful. When I was in elementary school, I had fun with math. I was introduced to concepts with the use of Unifix Cubes and other manipulatives. I also always used a calculator, even in high school, and this is when math got stressful. I never really learned how to do long division with big numbers. Showing work was also kind of a challenge, due to each problem having many steps. Word problems also posed a challenge and I had to carefully break them down. Breaking down problems, whether word problems or equations, was always tricky.
