Group 6 notes on originality:Everyone is original from the moment of selection of methods I mean its obvious everyone is influenced but because methods are selected deliberately and then together formulate methodology with a unique perspective that makes every illustrator original it is possible to copy an image, but not the method of doing images, what do you think? Perspective informs originalityYes and the selection of methods is a deliberate choice that also heavily relies on research. Whether it’s primary or secondary, it informs a unique piece of workEven we use the same method, we may select different arrangement or composition of elementsreferencing other material could potentially be used as a method and translated into something originalAgree, the arrangement of references is an interesting point, and for the illustration I actually find it very difficult to make a copy, because there is always some sort of filter or translation of information through the prism of a personal perspective.

Originality can often be seen as something we strive for - something inward facing which we are precious about.
Thinking about 'originality' of the work in a research context is about sharing these insights/methods more outwardly in order to interrogate/rethink or reset the parameters of your field. It is in sharing these new insights, born out of the field which can infiltrate back in.
