Hi!!! My name is Andrea Fernandez, I am a senior in the early college program at akins high school. I am working towards my associate degree in general studies and I hope to complete it by the end of this year. I love teaching and talking about things I am passionate about, mostly God and faith, and it is something I want to pursue in the future.

I would really like to share a bible verse with you guys! I understand religion or turning to God isn't for everyone but maybe you are looking for a sign to start, and this can be it.

Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit". I find this verse to be so lovely and simple. It tells us how God will always be there for us even in hard times when you think he isn't there or listening, he is. He is always by your side and is there to save you from whatever you are feeling.

I LOVE country music, I listen to it everyday all day. It isn't the only music I listen to, but I do choose it first until it's ran through too much. My top artists are of course george straight, and Alan Jackson then for sure be Zach Bryan, Luke combs is up there but I wouldn't say top 3. I also really love Miranda lambert, I grew up listening to her. Many more after that but i'm sure those 5 show you the people I listen to all around it lol!

Animals

I have 4 cats and I love them all sooo sooo much. Their names are Theo, Elliot (like Ezekiel elliot), Luna, and Simba. I rescued them about a year ago and never gave them away so now I am an official cat lady. I was always a dog lady but since my dog passed I've only had cats, but its been amazing I love them! Ps. I also have a fish.

My future

I hope to one day be a teacher at a private catholic school. I know that sounds odd and strict but I aspire to be someones "miss honey" in a school that someones parents don't give them an option of religion. I understand many kids go through that where they feel they don't have an option and I want to show them in a way where they learn how it can be something so lovely and teach them in a nice fun and educational way. I want them to be at a point to where they want to learn about Jesus openly and because THEY want to. I know out there, it can be rough finding good teachers who really care and I'm strongly influenced by my mom who is a prek teacher, she goes above and beyond for all of her students every year. She truly is the example of what a teacher should be, and I want to be like her.
