The film showed where Morries and Mitch had conversations about eachother , which tied in with the mystery behind Mitch seeing Morrie all over the news. This creates a whole new scene to where Mitch will go and see Morrie at his house.

Why? I feel that the movie evokes less emotion than the book because the people that were in the movie show some, but not a whole lot, reactions. Or emotions. They can be happy, sad, angry, depressed, but they won't emotionally react to it.
