This is actually the 2nd or 3rd Outline I have done for this paper. I keep moving things around and I hope that everyone can help me figure out which direction I want to go.

Your paper definitely looks like it will be very interesting to read. I definitely think some interesting vignettes and thick descriptions would be really helpful to get your points and reflections across, particularly in the clubs section. One of the dangers of making exclusive clubs that specifically exclude genders and ethnicities is teaching the kids that segregation is okay- I think I remember you saying on the first class that there was a sense of almost a "gang" mentality among those kiddos. There definitely needs to be some balance where they feel a sense of pride in themselves and who they are as well as a sense of belonging to the community as a whole.

In your section about distrust, I really made a connection with one of my articles listed in the bibliography discussion. It discussed distrust among schools and the community and ways to fix the distrust. I think it would be really beneficial for you to utilize in your paper :-)

I definitely think you have a lot of resources to reflect on from your experiences at the school. It seemed like there was a lot of distrust among students, the community as a whole, and even staff. What a stressful environment for everyone involved to be in. Did you have any thoughts on realistic ways that the school can improve these relationships to create a more inclusive, safe, welcoming environment?

What was the history before this? How does the staff feel about the change? Was this change promoted by the District? Was he selected for this reason?

Resegregation? Is this caused by the middle and high schools, community in the area, or is this specifically at Polton? Does this principal's view coincide with the other educational leaders' in the area?

I am very curious how parents are reacting to this movement. The parental force can be so influential in the school and community, what part do you forsee the parents will play in this reorganization

Are you going to address your majority and minority groups? I can see that many different types of groups are marginalized, but will there be a focus or vignette about one particular group?
