How did life changed during lock down?

Hello mates! I must say my life didn't change too much during the lock down. As I work from my study at home, it wasn't a change for me so that I continued working as usual. I also study at the UOC which is a virtual university. Although the amount of work decreased, I took the opportunity to study some more subjects so I kept busy. One of my hobbies is gardening, and as I live in a first floor with a small garden I was able to continue the activity, so photography and reading. Of course I missed to meet my nephew and nieces, and my parents too, but we were communicating often. So I can't complain at all. I have to say I didn't take up a new hobbies or got into something new, I had enough with my usual activities, but it's true that I spent more time at the phone, checking that my friends and family weren't feeling lonely.
Ana

Before we were hit by covid I used to hang out with my friends quite often. Due to the pandemic the way we socialize with both friends and family is different. First at all due to the restriction we have been facing during the last 18 month .The number of people who could gather depending on the virus situation has often changed . Secondly because of the concern of passing the virus to others, what has put us off meeting to our friends and relatives as often as we would like or used to do it.
Another thing that has also changed at least in my life is that I am avoiding indoors. I used to have my coffee or beers at indoor in winter. However, since covid 19 I am reluctant to be inside of the bar . If there is not a terraza i prefer not to go . Avoiding indoor places is also related to the gym. Even though I am not very fancy about workout in the gym, if you like sport and you live in Pamplona, this is the only way to keep doing some sport in winter. So, I used to go to the gym 2 times a week, but I haven’t gone more than 5 times in the last 26 months. There has been always a reason that has put me off going: Closed due to the hight rate of contagious, restriction of number of peoples, etc
There are also things I did not use to do before covid and now and doing. I did not use to read or watch tv very often .Lately I am reading a bit more what is good though. I am also watching series quite often too.
It seems that we are close to get rid of covid . Mask indoor will be likely lifted soon but we should not forget that a new stain could drive us crazy again . Remerber, we thought we were about to recover all things we used to do just before Christmas but it turned out that omicrom screwed it up.

Anyway, I am hoping that it will not last forever…-

At the begining, it was a total desaster, speaking about work. I work whit groups of people, teaching Non Violent Communication. I remember that in April I was woing to travel to Holland, for a work meeting, that never happened.
I was little bit stressed...But suddenly I started to work by internet whit a companny, and some other groups started to ask me to do the same. So, a new era begining in this time to me, and I started to work a lot.
In the other hand, I was living in Barcelona, and the restrictions were difficult to me. We can´t go outside, and of course, we can´t meet people. I lived in a really small house, and I started to be a little bit depressed, luckily we had a little garden, so we could see the sun.

How did my free time change when lockdown arrived

When the lockdown arrived to my life, it was like a tsunami. If I didn't have children, it would have been very different... I'm sure. Normaly, I have plenty of time for myself and my studies, as I don't work out of home in the mornings and my little sons are at school, but during the lockdown the school was at home. And my free time, simply, desappeared. The whole morning was to do the children's homework, to accompany them as they didn't know how use the computers and how to organize themselves. Time flew away!! I had to become a teacher. And a teacher of my own sons, wich is much more stressful, in my opinion. Until we got used to the new rhythm, the new routines... it was a huge disaster. Besides, I was alone because my husband worked at the hospital.
Afternoons were little bit funner. We used to play boardgames, do some sports at home... but I was all the time with my children. One afternoon, randomly, I discorvered a sport trainer online, in Youtube, who offered free short aerobic exercices, without jumping (I don't like jumping). It was quite boring to my kids, so they ended leaving, and I finally had my precious free time. 30 minutes a day with my "personal online trainer". And the shower time. It was all.
Nowadays, sometimes I still do sport with these videos, and every tuesdays I take online stretching classes from a teacher who lives in Madrid. Before the pandemic I would never had imagine that I would do some like that. Sport online? Are you crazy?
Nerea
