         <description><![CDATA[<div>Erikson divided a person's life into eight stages, each with different characteristics and each with challenges from that time period. At each stage, individuals face and overcome new challenges. Each phase builds upon the successful completion of earlier phase tasks. Failure to successfully complete this phase of the challenge can cause problems again in the future. According to Erikson, early childhood experiences are important, but the individual can still develop within the social environment. Erikson believed that childhood was very important for the development of personality, unlike Freud, who thought that personality continued to develop after the age of five</div>]]></description>
