I have become a bit picky when it comes to these courses. It is a lot of money and I want value for that so I expect the course to push my school and me to higher levels. The topics of this course seemed to be able to do that and in retrospective they did that. More than that, they gave a lot more. I liked the setup with tools to meet multiculturism and to make my school more international (in a planned and organized way). Other than that I got to see and experience nature and a culture very different from mine. In a way this course is a total experience compared to more traditional courses. I also liked the fact that we were expected to learn some local language. Every now and then you need a push to get started. You never know what kind of group you have but I feel that I was very lucky with this one. Maybe a smaller group can get close more easily or was it just remarkable good comanions? I don't know but that was a big thing for our discussions. It also became very clear that Rita knows what she is talking about. So all honour to her for executing this course.

What have I learned from this Erasmus+-course? Well, I didn't have a lot of expectations before I came here. I wanted to take a course in a French speaking country and Guadeloupe was an obvious choice :) The topic was interesting and suitable, so why not.
The course frame didn't look so strict which was surprising. On the course I realized soon that it was an important part of the course plan. There was no concrete classroom like on other Erasmus+-training courses I have participated before. We basically changed the classroom every session. The course material and the theoretical background was there I we obliged to study and discuss it thoroughly. Still, the trainer didn't give us any lectures and or work was mainly about discussing the topics in pairs or in the group. The size of the group was very compact. There were no exhausting tasks and because of the small size of the group the discussions and statements of each participant were easy and interesting to follow.
Besides the themes of the course I got good tips for my teaching too. The methods were very good and I liked to relaxed way of the trainer. She could keep it brief and prompt and left us space and time to reflect our thoughts. The reflection part on Twinspace was a good way to make a revision and make us think. We didn't just get new ideas how to make our school more international but we also got concrete examples and now we know the ways to go on.
The French booklet was useful and I will use it in my classes. As I am a French teacher I was sceptic about the French lessons but it was useful. The whole course was well organized, with some Caribbean vibes.. l My overall rating on the course is very good.

This course about internationalisation of curriculum was so well-built! The themes and how they were approached, the substances of the sessions and all these practical tools we were given is great. Theretical backround and daily activities went hand in hand. Amount of members made it possible to make long conversations, share things and ideas, compare practises we have in our own schools. With these tools I think I can improve the international activities in my own school and encourage my collegues to join these activities (witch I find extremely important and meaninfull these days) Raising the global citizes will be our most relevant task in the future.
The surrounding of this course is magnificient and it is linked into all activities in a great way! We truly had " a classroom with a door to the world" in all possible meanings and our sessions here demonstated well what is learnig through experiencies.
Timetables were well balanced and all the safety and comfort aspects were well taken care of.
Thank you all participants and organizer for sharing this experince with me!

I am more than happy and grateful that I got the opportunity to take part in the course: „A classroom with a door to the world.“ After these two weeks, i feel personally empowered and enabled to establish and further develop the international work of my school. Each detail of the course, the content of the lessons, the outdoor classrooms, the experiences and the teachers and guides participating, is thoughtfully picked out by the brilliant course leader Rita. It took me far from my comfort zone into an area of deep learning. The information that is given during the course is on a high-level and it was very enriching to share expertise and insights with teachers from all over Europe. Thank you very much for that! I appreciate and value the knowledge and inspiring ideas that we shared with each other and am excited to take them back to my students and colleagues.
After this experience I feel personally changed in some ways. I was already considering myself a cosmopolite and open minded person person before. But experiencing first-hand what it feels like to come to a different culture that makes the greatest effort- from shop keeper to special needs teacher- to make every member of society welcome and cared for- i strongly feel that I can do a lot more to enforce that same effort in my community. I now have a clear vision of why it is important to develop a „global citizen“- mindset and how it feels to be an inclusive society. Thank you from my deepest heart for that life-changing lesson!

First of all I have to say that Guadeloupe is a perfect location for a course about internationalisation, with its long and extraordinarily complex history of encounter and collision between so many different civilizations, which includes the local cultures (Arawaks and Caribes), the Europeans (Spanish, French, British) and the Blacks from west Africa. It is, of course, also a history of violence, as clearly displayed in the museum we visited in Pointe-à-Pitre, so we understood what we could call the dark side of internationalisation (that is, colonization, exploitation and destruction of the environment) too. The course itself proved extremely interesting and useful, and I go back home with the head full of ideas for new activities we can organize with our Association, ranging from innovative approach excursions to using new tools to better explore the impact of migrations on both the sending and the receiving countries and societies. I also appreciated very much the good company and Rita's professionalism and kindness. Many thanks to Michel and his friends too. I definitely want to come back to Guadeloupe!

Before we came here I expected to get a little impression of the island and a first idea of organising an international project. But I learnt A LOT more!

Of course I learnt a lot about the culture of Guadeloupe, the specifics and why it become like that. And every time I got know something new it hit me like I was really impressed. I think Guadeloupe is a great place to learn how Multiculturalism can work and become something wonderful.

That doesn’t mean everything is fine and there are no problems or challenges still going on, but it hasn’t to be finished know. The process is still going on!

And beside this, I learnt a lot about me, my habits and traditions and how important it is to have a national identity. I think this is a very important point of view that I will take with me: you have to work on yourself first if you want to develop a multicultural community!

During all the times I really enjoyed the discussing within our group. It felt always appreciative!

In my opinion this is very important because this course is not only about getting knowledge, it is more about the attitude. And so sharing ideas and perspectives made it possible to get a deeper understanding and develop an even bigger learning effects.

So it won't be a single story telling and I am sure a lot of new classroms will get a open door to the world.
