But Why Does the Quokka Have these Linnaean names?

•Animalia – Because it is an animal (obviously)
•Chordata – Because it is a vertebrate (Has a backbone)
•Mammalia – Warm-blooded and gives birth to live young
•Marsupials - carries young in pouch
•Macropodidae – Long, narrow skull and a small head
