In 1913 the 16th amendment was passed that allowed the federal government to collect income tax, so by the end of the 1920’s robber barons where all but gone.

An example for how monopolies are changed today is that the government limits companies from turning into monopolies, such as amazon where it could be a very big monopoly but it is being limited by the government

The very first labor union was founded in 1866. Anyone who had some work that required a good bit of skill was in the labor union
