Tarsila do Amaral was a Brazilian painter and designer. The workers (1903) was painted in a time when the artist was involved with communism. The painting depicts the moment of Brazil industralization especially in São Paulo. The painting shows the cultural diversity of a people oppressed by the elite, represented by the factory in the background. My opinion is that it is not easy to differenciate thes e people, because there are different lines, representing a massified people.
