         <description><![CDATA[<div>"A cultural group within a larger culture, often having beliefs or interests at variance with those of the larger culture"<br><br>Examples include: 'Goths', 'Punks', 'Hippies' etc<br><br>This reminds me of the likes of the British Social Realist genre which usually focuses on topical issues alive within a modern society represented by different ideologies. One example of this is the working-class background of which is depicted in movies such as; Shane Meadows' (2007) 'This is England' and Danny Boyle' (1996) 'Trainspotting' where the use of subculture is reflected throughout.</div>]]></description>

Atlantic Recorder founder considered the song "a declaration of war [...] the beginning of the civil rights movement".&nbsp;<br><br>Although Billie did not write the song, when reflecting upon the idea of authenticity, Billie first hand had experience of racism in a segregated society. Her personal relation with the song, despite it not being original, echoes a powerful statement especially to the U.S government at the time. </div>]]></description>
