We all have scraped a knee or broken a bone, but we heal from almost all of these injuries, some people are unfortunate to not heal from these experiences. 

For example NRL player Alex McKinnon was tackled in a footy match against the storm. 

He was injured in a tackle that resulted in being quadriplegic. He was payed the maximum insurance payout of $500,000 and was given a job for life with the NRL. 

He had permanent injury and wont be able to recover. Having to deal without moving his legs or upper body for the rest of is life.

The person who gave the tackle had been suspended for seven matches. McKinnon was put in a medical introduced coma because he suffered severe injury to his spine.
