2. Kipling views those being imperialized as, they don't want to be but they're being forced by the imperialists. Yes I believe so because imperialists don't care about other cultures and believe they are superior. 
3. Kiplings views of imperialism are negative and I agree because I believe every culture should strive in their own way.

Another reason was because after the death of King Kalakaua, Queen Liliuokalani wanted to restore the monarchy which would not be in favor for the US because there would be less US influence.
