15 years ago, but I can still vividly remember my 5-year old self asking this question to my Mama while tears went down my cheeks. It never fails to shock me thinking about it up 'til today. How can a child ask such a heart-wrenching question? Did his longing consume him up until those words and tears finally came out?

Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and months turned even to years of no contact with his sisters — this was the hardest struggle of the young version of me. Every night, while closing his eyes, he'd pray himself hard that one day, his wishes of being able to Talk, See, and Hug his Ates will be possible whether at home or from afar. He'd cry himself to sleep with hopeful tears drenching up his pillowcase.

Someday 15 years later, he woke up in a world where Talking and Seeing his Ates became possible. Well Hugging isn't still possible, but at least, two of his three wishes came true. I can now message and contact them even when we're apart. Whether that be through videocall, or a simple chat. All of these became possible because of technology's advancement. All thanks to these advancements, I no longer have to wait for days, weeks, months, or years for me to Talk and see them. I no longer have to drain my patience to tell them physically that I love them. I can now do it anytime. I no longer have to cry and ask my Mama — "Kanus-a muoli sila Ate Ma?..."
