Many of them have lost their families, the orphans are looking for their parents and a whole world is leaving its country to find a better life. Colors are also black -gray and gray - gray and have the same symbolic character as the original work. The characteristics of the work are the same, the eye of God that shows the way of survival and the woman with the lamp trying to escape from the darkness.”

    The meeting was a push for the acquaintance, interaction, and collaboration of pupils from different countries and cultures on approaching refugee, respect for human rights and acceptance of diversity.

    “The Refugee Supporting and Educational Class of the 9th Elementary School of Nea Ionia Volos was organized by the Coordinator of Refugee Education Magda Vitsou in the period October-December 2016. It started its operation in January 2017, with the appointment of Eleni Barmpoudaki as a teacher. The intervention which was organized, was based on the principles of acceptance and respect of the pupil’s identity, using it at the same time as a tool for their efficient integration into the new reality, helping to consolidate the sense of "belonging". Τhe mother tongue/(s) had being recognized in the classroom,   teaching Greek wasn't the only purpose of the projects and lessons. Highlighting the cultural "load" of pupils as a personal wealth during their social encounter, was sought to externalize it in a daily basis, by using an entire range of teaching materials and in combination with many forms of Art. There, the community’s psychologist presented the community to the visitors, explained the main goals of the specific Humanitarian Organization and their expectations about the rehabilitation of the specific children in our country. All participants, teachers and students became for a while refugees. A game leader was designated, and the group was subdivided in “families”. Each of these families played game modules putting them through all aspects of being a refugee (fleeing a country, crossing borders, claiming asylum). The game leader briefed and debriefed the players afterwards. They will take part in “Art Festival” and they are willing to work with Erasmus’ group pupils to create together posters and banners with anti-racism and anti-xenophobia content.

Greek team organized a fundraiser of money for Assofrani the previous week and the members of Greek Erasmus team informed all member of Assofrani about this action. The questionnaire we are asking you to fill in is only an evaluation for us as a team. It has nothing to do with the Erasmus questionnaires that we fill in officially at the end of each Meeting (International or Transnational).
    Since we have precisely specified what we are asking you, we will take seriously your objections, different considerations, or even your possible rejections. Evaluation always helps us all to become better.
