         <description><![CDATA[<div>John was born in 1632 with a lawyer for a dad. Him and his dad lived in Wrighton, Somerset. John's father made him a student at Westminster School  from 1652 to 1667. He studied metaphysics, logic, and medicine. He went on to publish many books about philosophy in government, and became a philosopher and political theorist.  Soon ending up as one of the contributors to The Enlightenment. He died on October 24, 1704 at the home of Sir Francis Masham.    </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> John Locke wrote many famous books throughout his life span most being written during 1689. An Essay Concerning Human  Understanding is a popular publication of John Locke written in 1689. On the same year he also wrote Two Treatise of Government, a book about political philosophy. He went on to write Some Thoughts Concerning Education, explaining his concerns on education at the time.  He went on to write 2 more books before passing away in 1704.</div>]]></description>

In his book, "Thoughts Concerning Education" John wants to broaden the school syllabus and treat every student generally better. This influenced Jean-Jacques Rousseau's novel called "Emile" written in 1762.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>John Locke had many influences on the U.S. Government. He influenced the Declaration of Independence  in "Two Treatises of Government"  He said if the government failed to protect it's rights the people had the right to overthrow the government. They even added quotes of John Locke verbatim to the Declaration. John also influenced the safety rights of the people by influencing property ownership and rights.  John's many influences make today better for everyone.</div>]]></description>
