         <title>Unable to Open Word Document from Either an Attachment or Desktop File </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Solution #1- Open the faulty file in Notepad, Save it as a .rtf file, then reopen it Word.<br>Solution #2- Launch Word, and Create a Blank Document, then click Insert/File and insert problem file into the document<br>Solution 3#  Launch Word. Click on File/Open, navigate to the problematic file and highlight it. Select “Recover text from any file” from the “files of type” drop-down box<br>Solution #4- Click on Show/Hide button on the Standard toolbar. Copy all the text, except for the last paragraph mark into a new Word document, save the document under a different file name and into a different location.<br>Solution #5- Applies to Word 2003 and Word 2002 only. Launch Word. Click on File/Open, navigate to the problematic file and highlight it.
