Their first flight using an engine was on a Thursday at 10:35 on 17 December, 1903 at Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.4. Orville piloted the first successful flightp; the next flight was flown by Wilbur and it ended up being unsuccessful and it even slightly damaged the plane.5. The plane had a wingspan of 40.3 feet.6. Newton was an English physicist and mathematician . He is widely recognised as one of the most influential scientists of all time and a key figure in the scientific revolution. His book Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy, first published in 1687, laid the foundations for classical mechanics.

Newton built the first practical reflecting telescope and developed a theory of colour based on the observation that a prism decomposes white light into the many colours of the visible spectrum.
