Getting help would be asking someone how to do it, the process for it. Cheating would be just asking for the answer without doing any work at all.

Helping can be showing them examples and doing sample problems to get them to be able to do their work on their own. Cheating is doing the work for them. Or giving them the answers. They get nothing out of getting the answers. A lot of people cannot afford a tutor, so they try to get as much help as they can under these circumstances. Doing your best and putting time and effort into class is what matters. Although this is true, cheating is not an answer. It's okay if you need extra help other than the teacher who has a lot of responsibility
