In Nicaragua, religious holidays are very common.The Main holidays in Nicaragua is Maundy Thursday known as the Holy Thursday,it is on the Thursday before Easter. The Thursday marks the night of the last supper told in the Bible. Good Friday is a Christian holiday that is reflected on forgiveness. They also celebrate the independence of Nicaragua. One of the biggest holidays in Nicaragua is La Purisum. The celebration goes on for a total of 9 days that begins on November 29th It is the celebration of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. It is a combination of Christmas, Hanukah, 4th of July, and Halloween.

America and Nicaragua share very different traditions. Catholicism is the same. Nicaragua has a higher inflation rate than America. Nicaraguans and Americans do share some holidays such as Christmas, Easter and Labor Day. The cost of living in America is way higher then Nicaragua. Both Nicaragua and America have a presidential system. In America, there is a wider variety of races and cultures.
