Gerald Ford was Born on July 14, 1913 and died on December 26, 2006 and lived to be 93. Ford was President of the US from 1974-1977 as the 38th President of the US and was Vice President of Richard Nixon and leader of the Republican Party in the US House Of Representatives before he was the President. Before his Presidency Ford was in the US Naval Reserve in WWII from 1942-1946 where he was Promoted to Lieutenant Junior grade in June of 1942 and then to Lieutenant in March of 1943. Ford was President in the worst economy since The Great Depression during his Presidency with a recession and growing inflation. Ford Pardoned Nixon once he was President and continued some of Nixon's acts like leaning toward détente in the cold war with the Helsinki Accords. When Fords term was coming to an end he beat Ronald Reagan as Republican Nominee but lost the election against Jimmy Carter by a sliver.

Jimmy Carter is still alive to this day and has been in hospice for a little over a year.
