Ishmael Bea lived a nice and relaxed life in a town of Sierra Leone. One day while going to a talent show to sing rap with his friends, Junior, Taloi, Mohamed, Gibrilla, Kaloko, and Khalilou, something horrible happened, the civil war began. While they saw the bloody people running in that direction the new there was something wrong, they wanted to go back to the village where they lived at but they new that was not a safe try.

Something precious was lost those days, trust. When Ishmael and his friends finally got to a town they where happy, but there was no time to celebrate yet, they had no food, no money, and scared of what happened. Since they had to buy food so they don't starve and they had no money they decided to go to one of the nearby towns to get money, after much risk taken and a possibility of dying they went back to the safe town, only to find out people sold food no more.

After all of the problems they faced Ishmael end up alone. Alone in a forest, with strange food he didn't knew of, wild animals. And fear fear of being found... and killed.
